Steam Register Fail: steam: wrong ns in the response

This is new, and just started happening today. I am already registered for a championship, and I try to register again to change the skin. It gives me this error:

“steam: wrong ns in the response”

and in red:

I’m running ACSM Premium v2.3.9 on linux.

Any thoughts?

And now it’s working again? This is weird.

Note it happened to me on my home computer, work computer, and phone when I tried to (re-)register.

Hi,

This was an issue with the Steam OpenID login API that affected all “Log in with Steam” systems, as discussed here on the Steam forums: Steam openID broken? :: Help and Tips.

Unfortunately in these scenarios all we can do is wait for the API to come back online, although these incidents are very rare.
