It’s happened on multiple occations now that the server does not write out a result file after the session finshes. Specifically we run 2 servers. A and B. The A server wrote its results fine and we could allocate points but the B server did not write out its result file meaning no one on the B server got any points. How can I manually assign points as generating a result file is proving to be a bit of a challenge since we don’t have the laptimes to add to the result file. I do have the finishing order though but I’m not sure if I can manually add the points in somehow?
Which version of Server Manager are you using?
v1.4.4
What OS are you running Server Manager on?
Windows 10
Any extra information about the problem
I see the results for practise and quali for the B server but there is not result for the race. I know the race ran as expected and finished as well.
There are a few different options here, I’ll run through each.
The first thing is to make sure the server actually didn’t write out the result at all, can you see it on the Results list page? It sounds like you’ve checked this already but just to be sure.
If the result is missing entirely you can also try going to the Manager → Manager Options page, scrolling to the Maintenance section and triggering a rebuild of the results database. This may pick up the results file in some scenarios.
Then with the result file you can use Manage Event → Import Results on your Championship Event to manually import the result.
If neither of those options help then you will need to manually apply points to the drivers. You can do this using the Penalties button in the Championship standings table, giving a negative points penalty will add points to the driver.
I hope that helps, please let us know if you have any further questions.
