Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to enable updates for modded cars on our servers. Currently, if a car needs to be updated on the server, we have just been adding new downloads, but this creates a problem of having basically duplicates of the same cars with minor adjustments.
My question is: How can I update the cars and prompt the user to install said update without making them download an entirely new car? I know it’s possible as I’ve seen multiple servers with the feature, and multiple cars that I’ve downloaded that will randomly prompt me through Content Manager to update the car. If anyone could help me with this, that’d be greatly appreciated
I’m not sure how Content Manager actually detects that an update is available but I doubt it has something to do with your server. I believe, they’re checking the source website if the mod has a reference to where it’s from and if there’s a new version, CM will notify you about it.
